Dear Mr. Brubaker,

I am writing to apply for the Mental Health Counselor position with Morningside Youth Detention Center. I am a mental health professional with over twelve years of experience working with adolescents in various settings. In my current position as Mental Health Counselor with Starlight Group Homes I provide individual as well as group counseling to adolescent males between the ages of 12 and 19.

I am well versed in several counseling techniques and have a compassionate approachable demeanor. My counseling skills are above par and I am also organized with an attention to detail. Clients warm up to me quickly and I enjoy helping them to reach goals and learn new behaviors. I am confident that I would make an excellent addition to the staff at Morningside Youth Detention Center. I am an approachable compassionate and competent counselor.

I look forward to speaking with you regarding my qualifications as a Mental Health Counselor and welcome you to contact me by phone or email at your earliest convenience. Thank you so very much for your time and consideration.

Warmly,

Mary Reed
